Georgetown College, a unique blend of a private, Christian, liberal arts institution, is dedicated to fostering teaching excellence in a diverse context. Nestled in the charming college town of Georgetown, Kentucky, just 12 miles north of Lexington, it offers a distinctive academic environment.
As a Christian institution, Georgetown College builds community through admissions, hiring, and promotion policies based on merit, qualification, and character. Georgetown College does not discriminate, either in the admission of students, hiring and promotion of employees, or in the administration of any educational policies, programs, or activities based on race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, disability or veteran status. Women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community, Indigenous People, and those with other or multiple historically marginalized and underrepresented identities are especially encouraged to apply to support our growing population of diverse students.
Georgetown College is a historically Baptist institution committed to remaining broadly Christian in the 21st century. The College does not require faculty to be part of any denomination or to commit to any specific creedal or faith statement. Still, as the College is rooted in Christian love and service, we expect our faculty to live out those values actively. The College may use religion to make faculty employment decisions and Board of Trustees appointments.
Screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. To be considered for the position, please send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts, a statement of teaching philosophy, and three letters of recommendation. All materials should be submitted electronically to Dr. Jonathan Sands Wise, Provost/Dean of the College, at provost@georgetowncollege.edu.
