Residential Director

Overview
QUALIFICATIONS:

BS plus 5 years experience in the field of developmental disabilities, 2 years supervisory experience. Possess a valid South Carolina drivers license.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral forms;

Knowledge of development disabilities, knowledge of training programs, ability to work effectively with staff, consumers and families. Must be able to perform physical and visual skills as listed: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and visual acuity. Successful completion of orientation.

Reports to the Executive Director, performs the following duties:

• KEEPS PEOPLE WE SERVE SAFE
• Promotes learning and supports people we serve
• Ensures health, safety, and accountability of residential consumers via supervision of residential program
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations
• Ensures legal rights of residential consumers are protected and violations are appropriately reported
• Ensures that Single Plan Process for each individual consumer is facilitated so needs are met and personal outcomes addressed
• Monitors to insure sufficient progress is made to achieve consumer goals and personal outcomes, also monitors data related to Behavior Support Plan
• Directly supervises Lead Nurse and administrative assistant
• Chairs Human Rights and other meetings
• Responsible for overall management of all residential facilities, vehicles and property
• Ensures staff are trained and receive support in order to support people we serve.
• Protects rights of people we serve.
• Knowledgeable of the organizing principles of the Council on Quality
• Trains and supports people to prevent abuse
• other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
