Essential Functions Accompany physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician. Transcribe patient orders including laboratory test, radiology tests, medications, etc. Documents any procedures performed by the physician Scribe is responsible for entering attestation sign and date all accurate records at time of service. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.Exhibits exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.
Qualifications
Job Requirements Minimum Education□ High school diploma or equivalent □ Preferred □ Certified Medical Assistant Required Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications : CMA or RMA or CCMA via the AAMA, AMT, or NHA must be obtained within 30 days of hire.Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
