The HCM (Human Capital Management) Systems Junior Analyst is responsible for supporting the HR, Benefits and Payroll enterprise system, which is available to students, faculty and staff. In this role, the Junior Analyst will work closely with senior team members to assist with stakeholder engagement, data analysis, requirements gathering, and report creation, contributing to the university’s student, academic, HR, benefits, and payroll processes. This position is part of a collaborative team environment where the Junior Analyst will receive guidance and mentorship from experienced analysts and leaders, building their skills and knowledge in enterprise system support. Duties include but are not limited to :

Serve as primary point of contact for Workday-related inquiries, troubleshooting and support for end-users (faculty, staff, and student workers and applicants) across the organization.

Work closely with stakeholders to collect requirements, document, and implement new HCM Workday functionality and maintain existing functionality.

Participate in system upgrades, enhancements and implementations, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business processes.

Review, analyze, configure, and evaluate the Human Resources system, data, integrations, reports, and user needs.

Document requirements and define business processes, policies, and procedures that are informed by and meet stakeholder business strategies.

Assist with the administration of Workday requirements / integrations with ancillary HCM systems (ie : document retention system, identity management system, and websites, etc.).

Work Interactions

This position reports to the Director of HCM Systems and Processes and collaborates regularly with the HCM technical leads and analysts. The incumbent may serve as a member of one or more project teams, with an additional reporting line to that project’s manager. The Junior Analyst will regularly work with external stakeholders in the HR, Benefits, Payroll and academic areas of the university. This position has no direct reports.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

3-5 years of work experience

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Workday and higher education experience preferred

Pay Range :

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is :

47,586.00 - $87,558.13

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
