Georgetown Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned (non-corporate) veterinary hospital that has been serving our community for over 18 years. We offer a wide variety of services including well care, sick care, emergency care, surgery, radiology, laser treatments, ultrasound, and dental care. We are looking for an experienced veterinary technician to join our team.
Requirements:
Veterinary Technician with 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
Support our Veterinarians as they care of our clients and patients
Client communication and education: Taking an accurate medical history, discussing estimates, explaining treatment plans, communicate patient updates to clients, and giving discharge instructions.
Managing hospitalized patients under the guidance of a doctor: IV catheter placement and management, performing ordered treatments, administering medications, wound care, operating and monitoring IV pumps, ongoing diagnostics.
Surgical assistance: patient care pre and post-op, anesthesia prep, induction, and monitoring, surgical prep and assistance, admitting and discharging patients, sterilization and maintenance of equipment and surgical suite.
Performing dental procedures : scaling, polishing, assisting with extractions, radiography, dental charting.
Assist in diagnostic procedures: Labwork, Radiographs, Cytology,
Support and communicate with teammates you would work closely with.
