Rowland Springs Baptist Church, a friendly family of believers on the northern fringe of Metro Atlanta, is seeking a secretary to assist the pastor, other staff, and member committees fulfill their ministry roles by performing standard office-related weekday tasks with consistent professionalism and attention to detail.
On-the-job paid training may be available.
Hours are negotiable, but we anticipate approximately 32 hours per week (e.g. Monday through Thursday 9:00-5:00).

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, replenish, and/or maintain stock of office, ministry, and other supplies and equipment
- Design, edit, and/or otherwise prepare and print items for various ministries
- Prepare and post timely social media items and website updates
- Manage communication (e.g. phone, email, etc.) to or from appropriate parties in a timely manner
- Collect and distribute deliveries, including standard mail
- Prepare and mail/ship a variety of items as appropriate
- Oversee and coordinate church calendars, assisting ministry leaders with scheduling
- Update online and offline files and records in a timely fashion as appropriate
- Within weekday office hours, assist with needs as requested by the Vacation Bible School director, baptismal committee, wedding representative, outreach ministries, cemetery committee, and others
- In coordination with financial secretary and/or finance committee, maintain and submit timely and accurate receipts of purchases, check offering boxes for uncollected gifts, and appropriately assist with counting, securing & accounting for any gifts received
- Communicate in a timely fashion as appropriate via phone, email, or other methods as may be necessary, with companies, contractors, and others as requested or needed by pastor, Buildings & Grounds Committee, or others
- Coordinate facility reservations and, during office hours, oversee use of church facilities
- High school diploma
- Prior experience as a secretary or administrative assistant
- Excellent communication skills: timeliness, tactfulness, and strict confidentiality as appropriate
- Ability to responsibly multitask and meet deadlines
- Experience with a variety of software programs, particularly Microsoft Office 365 products, and Google applications (e.g. Calendar)
