Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant for the Simulation and Translational Research Center (STRC) provides administrative support to the College of Health Science program and reports to the Simulation Center Director.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to the STRC Team members.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for STRC room and supply reservation requests.
- Answers general questions and connects faculty/students with the correct STRC team member.
- Orders supplies.
- Communicates with operations manager regarding supply information.
- Maintains good public relations and customer service.
- Obtain quotes from vendors.
- Provides clerical needs for STRC team and faculty.
- Support the building of patient scenario charts.
- Communicate with SON administrative assistant room reservations and applicable evaluation information.
Records Management - 20%
- Serves as the secretary and take minutes for the STRC and Sim Committee.
- Distributes and maintains records of code access for STRC doors.
- Supports the Simulation Technician with management of warranty, maintenance, and repairs of simulated equipment.
- Retrieves data from learning management system for all undergraduate and graduate program course reports.
- Communicates with SON administrative assistant to release faculty evaluations at the close of each semester.
- Obtain and file cleaning and repair logs from the Simulation Technician each semester.
- Maintain record of weekly facility rounding of STRC physical structure.
Facilities Support - 20%
- Serves as the primary point of contact for facility issues for the STRC.
- Communicates with applicable parties any issues that need for repair at the STRC.
- Conduct weekly facility rounding of STRC physical structure.
- Wash, fold, and stock laundry.
- Stock and inventory supplies.
Liaison - 15%
- Supports the STRC by serving on committees, councils, and other deliberative bodies as assigned by the STRC Director or Dean of the College of Health Sciences.
- Communicates approval and denials of STRC requests to faculty.
Other duties as required - 5%
