The Department of Management, Marketing, and Logistics in the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business & Technology at Georgia College & State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of marketing beginning August 1, 2025. As the largest academic department on the Georgia College & State University campus, the department is home to more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Job Summary:

Instruct academic courses in marketing and support the department, college and university goals by supporting the academic environment to benefit the educational mission of the University.

The faculty employee is expected to contribute to the department’s educational mission. Successful candidates will be expected to instruct our students in the respective disciplines.

The faculty employee is expected to have:

1.     understanding of the principles associated with teaching and learning,

2.     strong communication skills,

3.     successful higher education teaching experience, and

4.     a developing research agenda.

The successful applicant with also possess the demonstrable ability to work collegiality and effectively with individuals across various disciplines within the Department of Management, Marketing, & Logistics in the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business & Technology and across the greater Georgia College campus.

Required Qualifications:

A Ph.D., DBA, or other terminal degree in marketing or a related field at the time of the appointment is expected.

Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements stated in C.S. 3.7.1 (www.sacscoc.org (faculty credentials)).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching digital and social media marketing is highly desirable, as is experience teaching professional selling and sales management.

Hiring preference will be given to faculty who demonstrate an understanding of Georgia College's mission and who are enthusiastic about working closely with high-achieving students within an academic community dedicated to the advancement of knowledge through learning and scholarship.

Evidence of methodological innovation and creative teaching strategies is highly desirable.
