Help and advise individuals and businesses on a variety of secured and unsecured loans. Assist potential borrowers with the completion of loan applications. Responsible for the initial screening process. Review submitted applications for accuracy and completion, and request additional information or detail as needed. Responsible for the performance of, but not limited to, the below listed duties :
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Take and process applications for installment loans and lines of credit
- Approve loans, (within approval limits), process notes, and dispenses proceeds
- Process rejection procedure when an applicant is declined
- Responsible for funding loans
- Responsible for loan document review for signature and completeness
- Maintain credit and lending records and files
- Must be able to open all new accounts which are offered by the bank and sell all ancillary services when applicable
- Be knowledgeable of bank products and services and be able to communicate their features and benefits
- Communicate and make product recommendations, interest rate changes, and service changes to management
- Be aware of competition and be prepared to compare bank products and services with competitors
- Work to establish rapport with customers in order to become their primary financial consultant and assist customers in reaching their financial goals
- Generate income through assigning appropriate rates, terms, and fees to loans
- Be able to handle complaints and objections
- Stay abreast of all policy, regulatory, and procedural changes
- Work with Corporate Compliance Officer to meet loan compliance standards
- Be willing to be active in focus groups or task forces to establish procedures, policies, and products
- Responsible for complying with BSA policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
