Position Overview:
The Patient Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for our patients, managing appointments, patient records, and communication to ensure smooth daily operations. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring the schedule is optimized
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage patient inquiries
- Maintain and update patient records, including insurance information and treatment plans
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and recall appointments
- Assist with billing, insurance verifications, and patient payment collection
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Educate patients on treatment plans, insurance coverage, and financial options
- Provide an excellent patient experience by creating a comfortable and friendly environment
- Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and maintaining office supplies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office (1 years preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft or similar is a plus)
- Familiarity with dental insurance and billing processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle patient needs with empathy and professionalism
- Detail-oriented with a focus on providing high-quality patient care
