DCH is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accountant 3 with the Division of Financial Management. This is a hybrid position that requires in-office and remote work with the approval of the supervisor. The days and frequency in the office can change at any time during employment based on the business needs of the organization.
Under broad supervision, performs or oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of accounting activity for a department or agency. Analyzes financial information and programs, identifies financial trends, makes recommendations to management and prepares a full range of financial reports, including specialized or non-standard reports.
- Reviews and approves HFRD travel expense reports in Concur
- Reviews and confirms rental car expenses against the information provided in the Concur system
- Accurately allocates the appropriate budget codes on all rental car invoices for processing
- Reconciles unassigned Airplus transactions monthly and contacts HFRD employees to submit outstanding expenses
- Tracks invoice payments utilizing the AP Tracker, follows up on discrepancies, and monitors activity to ensure completion and timely payments
- Maintains financial records in Laserfiche and ensures that the financial transactions are properly recorded to the general ledger
- Provides Concur training and assistance to HFRD surveyors
- Requests and reviews monthly rental car invoice statements
- Performs monthly accounts payable travel reconciliations
- Prepare desktop manuals to document processes and procedures
- Provides support and responds to requests from auditors, vendors, management, program managers, and team members
- Serves as the Local Administrator for HFRD
- Performs additional job duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting and two (2) years of professional accounting job-related experience;
OR
Two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Accountant 2 (FIP021) or equivalent position.

- Previous work experience in governmental accounting and processing travel reimbursements.
