DCH is seeking qualified candidates for a Policy Administration Position with the Policy, Compliance, and Operations Unit with the Medical Assistance Plans (Medicaid) Division. This position will work under the Deputy Director and oversee policy development and compliance. This is a hybrid position that requires in-office and remote work with the approval of your supervisor. Your days of frequency in the office can change at any time during your employment based on the business needs of the organization. Position Summary
Under general supervision of the Deputy Executive Director within the Policy Compliance and Operations Office-Medical Assistance Plans Division (MAP), the Policy Administration Director is responsible for overseeing the policy development process and ensuring policy and compliance regulations are properly communicated to appropriate teams.
- Report to Policy, Compliance and Operations Office, Deputy Executive Director on activities and initiatives, including escalating risks, issues, or concerns.
- Design a sustainable framework that defines the processes, roles and governance for policy and procedure development, storage and dissemination.
- Ensure that policy compliance and regulations are properly communicated and directed to appropriate teams.
- Supervise, plan and review work of assigned staff and provide feedback.
- Interview, hire, direct, train, evaluate the performance of, and when necessary, discipline and discharge employees.
Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the qualifications listed above, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years of increasing leadership experience supervising or conducting complex analysis with at least two (2) years of experience working with law enforcement agencies.
Proven ability to perform financial analysis, analyze internal controls and policies, conduct interviews, and write detailed reports.
Experience with oversight of government agencies, procurement, and/or contracts.
Strong interpersonal, written, and analytical skills.
Possess excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills, including V-lookup and pivot tables, and various computer programs.
Ability to work well with all levels of staff and management.
Demonstrated ethics and sound judgement.
