The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) is seeking candidates for the position of Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor for the Caregiver Recruitment & Retention Unit (CRRU). This position will support DFCS Region 8 and may be housed in any county in Region 8 depending on space availability and the selected candidate's place of residence. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position has a designated special entry salary that is non-negotiable.Pay Grade: LSupervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Supervises a social services unit that provides investigative and comprehensive case management for child abuse or neglect. Directs professional staff in delivery of services, sets unit goals, and regulates workloads in accordance with agency goals. Ensures that immediate and follow-up actions for at risk clients occur in a timely manner.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirects professional staff in the delivery of services.Establishes unit goals and expectations reflective of the Recruitment and Retention Plan. Ensures Caregiver Support Technicians are connected with assigned caregivers within 48 hours of approval and within 24 hours of their first placement. Ensures Caregivers Support Technicians conduct monthly visits with assigned caregivers, and that all contact narratives accurately reflect service and interventions provided. Compiles and maintains a manual of resources available for caregivers – ensures such manuals are updated annually to reflect programs within the respective communities. Participates in community support groups/networks to create, strengthen, and leverage partnerships. Compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of activities conducted by their assigned unit. Regulates the workloads in accordance with agency goals.Review cases and documentation for adherence to quality service provision for families.Responsible for establishing and maintaining a case tracking system.Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Core Competencies: Ability to work effectively at multiple levels of the organization and with multiple project teams.Ability to leverage partnerships within the community. Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.
