What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Math Specialist Grades 6-8 position at Georgia Elementary-Middle School?
Georgia Elementary & Middle School is seeking a Math Specialist for 6th through 8th grade. The math specialist will serve as part of a collaborative and dynamic teacher leader team. The math specialist will support teachers and students by: collaborating with classroom teachers and special educators to provide direct targeted instruction based on individual student needs, co-teaching and modeling best practices and effective math strategies, and co-planning rigorous and engaging lessons to increase universal access.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how to use formative and summative data to drive targeted instruction, monitor student growth, and adapt instructional approaches to ensure students’ success.
