DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

- Prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the procedure manuals for HR positions; conducts new employee orientations and onboarding procedures.
- Responsible for the Training Program, developing courses designed for employees’ development including training course content, establishing pre-requisites, tracking progress, advising employees on learning paths, and providing employees with completion bonuses.
- Make annual and monthly filings with the GA Department of Insurance for continuing education hours.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) related tasks and responsibilities.
- Responsible for administering Workers Compensation and all Federal and State labor law regulations and notices.
- Assist with the benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment to vendors and communicates benefits information to employees.
- Provide support to the Benefits Manager for the planning, implementing, and administering of Open Enrollment for the healthcare plans.
- Responsible for the continuous workflow improvement initiatives for life / qualifying eligibility events and other internal departmental processes. Responsible for the administration of all COBRA related duties.
- Responsible for the administration of group life insurance and long term disability, including billing, eligibility, renewal, and processing of death claims.
- Other duties as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS :
The employee must be able to organize and prioritize work; must have knowledge of office administration procedures and be able to operate most standard office equipment. The employee must pay attention to detail in composing and proofing materials. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals and other documents as required. Excellent telephone and oral communication skills are required. Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Must possess basic skills in order to navigate / create reports in EXCEL, WORD, HRMS, and other computer systems. A high level of confidentiality is to be maintained by the employee. Some overnight travel is required.
