This position prepares and delivers instruction for art/painting workshops as a part-time instructor for Georgia Highlands College, a multi-site college in the University System of Georgia.
This is a Temp/Part Time Position As Needed.
This position is located at our Cartersville Campus.
Responsibilities
- Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college¿s mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.
- Plans and prepares content of sessions for different skill levels.
- Demonstrates painting techniques clearly.
- Provides ongoing support and guidance to participants throughout the sessions.
- Maintains timely and proper communication with participants and Director via phone, email, and other electronic means.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for others.
- This position reports to the Director of Continuing and Professional Education.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an art instructor.
- Expertise in a variety of painting techniques.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to various learning styles and skill levels.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Proposed Salary
This is a Part Time non-benefitted position.
The class is tentatively schedule to begin April 21 and will run either 10-12 weeks.
The class will meet 1 day a week.
The salary is $225 for class.
