Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client interviews to gather pertinent information for case evaluation.
- Review and organize legal documents, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Utilize legal case management software such as PCLaw and Westlaw to maintain client files and track case progress.
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette while answering client inquiries and directing calls appropriately.
- Assist in the drafting of legal documents as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case developments in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other staff members on project management tasks related to ongoing cases.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law and related legal practices to provide informed support to clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in clerical or administrative roles, preferably within a legal environment.
- Familiarity with legal case management software such as PCLaw or similar systems.
- Strong document review skills with attention to detail in legal drafting processes.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective client interaction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law is preferred but not mandatory.
