Job description :
The Change Manager will function as the Change Management Lead for Combined's Client's Workplace Benefits (CWB) aggressive market expansion into the employee benefits (employee paid and employer paid) group benefits marketplace. The Change Manager will partner with program and CWB business leaders and other business leaders across the organization to manage the organizational evolution across product, underwriting, implementation, billing, claims, distribution management, and operations to drive change, manage stakeholders, and overcome challenges as it builds new capabilities and introduces new technology.
The Change Manager role will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. CWB is introducing new technology most notably a new policy administration system to support the expanded focus on true group benefits and product offerings, and the Change Manager will be key in supporting the organization as it builds out new capabilities. In addition, the Change Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The Change Manager will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees.
The Change Manager will manage change across multiple workstreams, build detailed program and change plans and create needed communications.
This role will act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor. This role will provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions. The Change Manager will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.
Key Activities
Work cross-functionality with business and IT teams to drive creation of change plans, including communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan and to support execution of such plans
Design change management processes and build the tools needed to manage change across the organization as it defines and builds new capabilities for CWB
Conduct change management assessments, analyze impact / change readiness across stakeholders, and coach project teams
Evaluate / ensure user readiness, manage anticipated resistance, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
Integrate change management activities into project plans, define / measure success metrics, monitor progress, and report issues
Support and engage senior leaders with organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications
Support training leads with planning, design, and delivery of training programs
Skills and Qualifications
solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle

Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
10 years of significant experience of leading change within the group insurance space across large complex cross-functional business and technology projects
Proven track record leading executives in the insurance or financial services industry
Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts and deep understanding of organizational issues and challenges
Experience working in a multi-discipline, matrix structure team fostering collaboration and teamwork
Experience of working with outsource providers with an on / offshore model
Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
Change management certification or designation desired
