Georgia Military College's Facilities' team is accepting applications for a Property Control Assistant & Moving Coordinator. The Property Control Assistant & Moving Coordinator assists in the coordination of moves and relocation of Georgia Military College (GMC) and Prep School property at various locations utilizing the current work ticket system. Assists Facilities Inventory Control Supervisor for the proper transfer of all GMC property and equipment, to include state and federal surplus. Conducts event setups with various departments and frequently interacts directly with leadership for guidance. Travel is required and typically constitutes about 20%. Identifies and reports damaged or excess GMC property and equipment as required. Assists with moving furniture and supplying furniture assets from surplus inventory as needed. Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates moves and relocation of GMC property and furniture as required. Maintains documentation, opens and closes work tickets, communicates directly with customers or indirectly using work ticket system, e-mails and/or phones
- Moves furniture to support faculty and staff, and pick-up/drop-off of surplus property. Provides furniture from surplus assets when available. Assemble/disassemble furniture and complete minor repairs when needed.
- Assists with event setup and take down for GMC activities
- Informs Facilities Inventory Control of property moves for accountability purposes, and identify property that is excess or damaged
- Occasionally drive GMC vehicles to/from maintenance shops when needed
- Assists in other areas or duties as required

Qualifications
Required:
GED/High School diploma
Valid driver’s license
2 year driving experience
Basic computer skills with an emphasis on MS Office and use of databases. Must be physically fit, lift at least 70 lbs., be able to use basic hand tools, and work outdoors
Preferred:
2 years college experience
3 years driving experience
Warehouse & inventory management experience
Experience as a forklift operator
Type at least 30 WPM.
Proficient with all types of moving and handling equipment
