Job Summary:
Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Student Success Coordinator to be located on the Catoosa County Campus. This position will report to the Director of Student Success for the Whitfield Murray Campus. This position is responsible for directing the student help center of an assigned campus of Georgia Northwestern Technical College and has direct supervision over one or more student success assistant(s). This position will require occasional evening and weekend hours, occasional travel to other GNTC campuses and community events, and possible infrequent overnight travel for professional development.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists in managing daily campus operations, programs, and services critical to student success functions.
- Administers admissions policies and procedures and organizes a sound admissions program.
- Oversee the admission, acceptance, and readmission of students.
- Assists in institutional recruitment efforts of new students.
- Provide career and technical guidance to prospective and current students.
- Provides information and assistance in the application and completion of the admissions and financial aid process.
- Utilize the institution's customer relationship management (CRM) software to process student information, review documentation, and analyze reports.
- Monitors data for efficient and accurate entry into the student information system.
- Counsel students and assist in the resolution of problems.
- Assists in campus-wide student activities, resources, and engagement.
- Plans, coordinates, and conducts individual and group tours.
- Assists in planning, coordinating, and conducting registration and orientation.
- Serves on various Student Success committees.
- Actively engage in off-campus community events, committees, and meetings to build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders.
- Evaluates employees at scheduled intervals upon reviewing all relevant information.
- Conducts regular evaluation of services and provides training or makes adjustments as needed.
- Reviews and approves employee leave and timesheets.
- Duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field *and* Two (2) years of work experience in a related field
o Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field *or* a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of work experience in a related field.
- Two years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Three years of work experience at a technical college.
- Experience using TargetX (Salesforce) or another higher education customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Experience with higher education admissions and enrollment procedures.
Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in a classroom or office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects to a light to medium weight. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.
If the job involves driving, physical requirements include the ability to operate a vehicle and sit for extended periods.
Salary: $49,920 - $52,000
Benefits:
If this is a part-time position, no benefits are available. If this is a full-time position, benefits include: 13 paid State holidays, annual and sick leave, paid parental leave, educational support leave, options in the State of Georgia health and flexible benefits package, 401K & 457 options, a choice of two retirement systems dependent upon position: Teachers Retirement System of Georgia or the Employee’s Retirement System of Georgia.
