SUMMARY
Material Handler position with Georgia Nut Company is utilizing great physical stamina and skills in organizing, sorting and categorizing products to maximize the efficiency within the department. Material Handler is responsible for building orders in an accurate and efficient manner to ensure a clean and safe work environment by performing the following duties
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Pull, pack, stage or convert orders for shipment using a batch order or verbal instruction from supervisor. Completes batch order sheets per company policies.

Repackages damaged product and reports quantity of damaged cases and labels to lead packer.

Removes pallets from every work center after pallet has been complete and stages product in assign area for warehouse to remove.

Moves materials within the department, work site, performing any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials.

Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using pallet jacks, electric dolly, and or other device.

Cleans work area, machines, and equipment, also assist machine operators.

May occasionally operate industrial truck or electric pallet jack in loading or moving materials and products.

Carries out all instructions from supervisors efficiently.

Coordinates work with other Lead Packers.

Works in accord with all safety regulations of production.

Assists every work center by lifting and moving objects.

Prepares and maintains inventory records per batch order producing.

Have a thorough understanding of AX, consumption and RAF.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.

Read specification sheet to ascertain materials or pallets to be moved.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, and other employees of the organization.

Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Maintain the production pace of other team members.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Supply proper materials to work centers per batch orders when required.

Receive materials from warehouse to match transfers for products received.

Review packing specifications for necessary data.

Work area is to be KEPT CLEAN at all times.
