The role of the ABA Therapist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is to provide home and community based ABA services for clients. This includes the implementation of a treatment plan developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) addressing communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs and social skills. The ABA Technician/RBT will also monitor the progress of a treatment plan and work closely with the BCBA to update the treatment plan as necessary.
- Collecting data about students’ behaviors through direct observation.
- Assisting BCBAs as directed with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans.
- Teaching students the specific behavior skills called for in treatment plans.
- Nurturing students’ social skills.
- Communicating behavioral intervention results in students’ parents and caregivers.
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma
- Complete the requisite 40 hours of training, overseen by either a BCBA, BCaBA, or BCBA-D
- Undergo a background check within 180 days of submitting your completed RBT Certification Application
- Complete and pass the RBT Competency Assessment, in which an assessor observes and evaluates your performance of RBT tasks (in person, live via the internet, or through recorded videos)
- Complete and pass the RBT exam, which is comprised of 75 multiple-choice questions and assesses the applicant’s knowledge of the RBT Task List
- Abide by the RBT Ethics Code
- Degree preferred not required

- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by BCBAs
- Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan.
- Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on treatment goals.
- Support the BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings and training workshops.
- Ensure that the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $36.00 per hour
