Georgia Right of Way – Utility Line Clearance Contractor is seeking to fill local full-time positions. This job post is for the SANDERSVILLE, GA area.
A CDL License is required to move up within the company. New employees must begin working to obtain their CDL-A Permit within 60-days and are given a raise upon completion. Furthermore, we will assist you in obtaining the ELDT certification and completing the CDL Road Test.
Job Description:
The Line Clearance Bucket Operator will operate aerial lift equipment (bucket trucks) to support the maintenance and clearance of overhead electrical lines, tree trimming, and vegetation management. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and effective execution of line clearance activities, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a bucket truck to access and clear vegetation around power lines and electrical equipment.
- Trim trees, branches, and foliage near power lines to prevent power outages and ensure the safety of personnel and the public.
- Work closely with ground personnel to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of bucket trucks and other equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Assist in emergency response and storm restoration efforts, as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time logs and incident reports.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on industry best practices and safety standards.
