**About the Role:**
We're seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lending Specialist to join our team at Georgia's Own Credit Union. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you'll be responsible for processing and closing SBA 7a loans and USDA B&I loans.
- Your primary focus will be on assisting loan officers with gathering information for underwriting and loan approval, preparing loan packages, and submitting them to the SBA.
- You'll also be responsible for pulling credit reports, generating lists of necessary documentation, and verifying borrower equity prior to closing.
- Additionally, you'll assist with having loan documents signed for sale in the secondary market, engage third-party front-end analysis, and inspect reports on construction loans.
**Key Requirements:**
- 5-7 years of previous commercial lending experience in a bank or lending environment.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in government lending.
- Proficient with general office machines and programs, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software used in the department.
