GSBA is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support our strategic marketing and communications efforts. This role plays a key part in executing integrated campaigns, enhancing digital engagement, and strengthening GSBA’s brand voice across a variety of platforms.
The ideal candidate is a well-rounded communicator with strong writing skills, a knack for digital strategy, and experience supporting diverse initiatives. This position collaborates closely with multiple departments across GSBA, helping to craft and share compelling content that informs, engages, and inspires school board members and education leaders across Georgia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns that support GSBA’s programs, services, events, and advocacy efforts.
- Create engaging content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, emails, social media, case studies, and publications.
- Manage and optimize digital marketing strategies, including email marketing, SEO/SEM, social media, and website content.
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop marketing materials and messaging that align with their objectives and GSBA’s overall communications strategy.
- Track campaign performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all communications and marketing channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, and content creation.
- Working knowledge of marketing principles and digital best practices—experience in a for-profit setting is a plus.
- Proficiency in email marketing and automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot).
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic SEO practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, data analytics tools, and digital advertising experience (Google Ads, social media ads preferred).

GSBA offers a comprehensive competitive benefit package including:
- 10.5% of annual salary applied to an employer-sponsored tax-sheltered retirement plan (effective after first 90 days).
- Paid major medical and dental coverage (employee only) with paid HRA contribution of up to $1,500 per calendar year. The Association offers additional supplemental insurance. Employees are responsible for all supplemental insurance premiums.
- $25,000 life insurance (employee only).
- Ten (10) annual leave days per year (5/6 day per month) cumulative to 30 days.
- Fifteen (15) sick days per year (1 ¼ days per month) cumulative to 90 days.
- Three (3) personal days per year (July 1 to June 30) non-cumulative.
- Wholesale Club Membership – Reimbursement for up to $50 per year for membership.
