What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer position at Georgia Specialty Equipment?
Our installers work as a team to receive, assemble and install auditorium seating, gymnasium bleachers, athletic equipment, casework and a variety of office and school furniture.
Required Skills:
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to operate a variety of trade tools and equipment safely and correctly
- Must be able to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds
- Must have the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written and oral form
- Must be able to communicate issues and/or problems to the Foremen or Project Manager in a timely and clear manner
- Must be able to pass necessary background checks for government and school projects
- Must be able to travel over night as needed and often on short notice
- Must be able to present him or herself in a professional manner
- Must have a valid driver's license
Preferred Skills
- Proficient with installation procedures and sequence: Loading, unloading, staging, trash removal, assembly and clean up
- Capable of reacting to varying project field conditions and able to make decisions to solve problems
- Ability to resolve punch issues and close-out a work order using proper procedure
