West Central Georgia Regional Hospital - Columbus, Ga. is seeking qualified applicants for RN Charge Nurse.
Shift: 3rd (11:00pm - 7:30am)
Expected role and responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients
- Responsible for the activities within your assigned unit for the duration of the shift
- Ensuring staff adheres to workplace protocols and procedures
- Supervise nursing personnel, including training and disciplining
- Act as a liaison between nurse and doctors
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and client records
- Overseeing the smooth transition from one shift to another
- Strong organizational and problem - solving skills are integral to this position
Psychiatric Nurse Requirements and Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Master's degree in nursing with a focus on psychiatry or mental health strongly preferred
- Georgia State RN license OR Compact RN license
- Basic Life Support certification
- Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred
A minimal of 2 years clinical experience is required for an RN to become a Charge Nurse
