Job Description
Job Title: Community Integration Home- Team Lead

Job Summary:
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Team Leader - Community Integration Home (CIH) in Savannah, GA. This role is critical in overseeing the operations of Community Integration Homes, which provide 24/7 residential care for adults with mental health challenges who are under the jurisdiction of the courts. The Team Leader will be responsible for supervising CIH employees, including House Leads, Client Support Workers, and Behavior Health Counselors, ensuring that all staff provide high-quality direct care to residents. This position requires strong leadership skills, as the Team Leader will guide and instruct staff in their work assignments and oversee scheduling and timekeeping. In addition to staff supervision, the Team Leader will coordinate with hospital and community forensic directors to ensure that residents receive necessary outpatient and inpatient mental health services. The role involves identifying barriers to residents' progress through interviews and audits of resident records, ensuring that all regulatory standards and DBHDD policies are followed. The Team Leader will also be responsible for the collection and timely submission of data, reports, and other pertinent information, as well as conducting monthly safety inspections and ensuring a clean living environment for residents. This is an administrative position with standard work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the Team Leader will be on-call for emergencies. Minimal local travel is required, making this a stable role within the community-focused environment of the DBHDD.
Responsibilities
- Supervise CIH employees including House Leads, Client Support Workers, and Behavior Health Counselors.
- Guide and instruct staff in their work assignments to ensure quality care for residents.
- Oversee scheduling and timekeeping for all staff members.
- Coordinate with hospital and community forensic directors to ensure residents receive necessary mental health services.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and DBHDD policies and procedures.
- Collect and submit data, reports, and other pertinent information in a timely manner.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections and ensure a clean living environment for residents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science field (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work) and active Georgia license to practice (i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
- Experience performing work related to area of assignment, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of providing residential and treatment services to the mentally ill and forensic populations.
- Exemplary managerial and clinical skills to supervise staff and residents effectively.
- Solid interpersonal skills for communication with various parties including court personnel and clinicians.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to residential care.
