ABOUT
The Georgia Swarm Professional Lacrosse Organization is an esteemed member of the National Lacrosse League and the leading box lacrosse team in the greater Atlanta region. Our front office is based in Duluth, GA, and our games take place at the Gas South Arena.
EXPECTATIONS:
This is a comprehensive and hands on role. It provides excellent experience in sporting events, customer service, and retail marketing/merchandising in a true professional environment. Our work environment is fast paced and energetic, so we’re looking for someone with positivity, a great sense of urgency who is a quick learner and can think quickly, but logically in key situations. This role provides exposure to the Atlanta sports business community to make connections and insights into a growing team in the sports industry in metro Atlanta. - Work long hours on game day, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds at once
- Associate will be required to stand and move throughout their shift
- Assisting retail brand ambassador team as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This requires excellent customer service and communication skills, including offering customers additional items to purchase
- Games are at different times throughout the season (Dec. – May), a flexible schedule is also a must
- Greeting customers and responding to questions pertaining to the merchandise, all while providing outstanding customer service
- Knowledge of operating registers
- Learning the loaded ticket functions and other promotional discounts for eligible customers
- Being proactive during your shift and taking ownership of your stores inventory and overall appearance
- Superior product knowledge of all brands and material while ensuring that all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customers' needs
- Assist management team in restocking store inventories prior to and after games
- Receive and assist with checking in merchandise from distribution centers and cross-checking proper inventory paperwork
- Other duties, functions, and special projects and responsibilities as assigned by manager
- Have reliable transportation to and from work for all games
- Team members will be responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of checking and counting all inventory received
- Team members will be responsible to maintain consistency of product storage within their assigned/allocated location(s)
- Responsible for overall cleanliness and workflow layout in all retail locations

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes long hours. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs and stand on feet for long periods of time and at times working in an extremely loud environment.
