Project/Unit DescriptionThis position is under the Project Management Office (PMO) at GTRI. Primary tasking will involve working as part of a cross disciplinary sponsored research engineering team.
Job PurposeApply industry-accepted Project Management (PM) principles and GTRI organizational policy and procedure knowledge to support externally-sponsored projects and their technical teams. They are experts in the GTRI Body of Knowledge for DoD Sponsored Program Deliverables and requirements such as:
- Integrated Master Schedule
- Earned Value Management
- Financial Forecasting and Reporting
- DoD Risk/Opportunity Management
- CDRLs, DIDs, and contractual program deliverables
- Proposal preparation and delivery
- Security Guidelines
- Use PMP, PMBOK, and DoD best practices to deliver above listed PM Requirements
- Implement standard project management tools and processes as appropriate for the project
- Assist Engineering Teams with compliance and delivery of sponsor quality requirements
- Serve as primary POC for GTRI internal support units
- Interact with sponsors to determine requirements and needs
- Develop and update complex CPM (Critical Path Method) schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.
- Analyze IMS (integrated master schedule) performance trends and recommend corrective action.
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts on IMS including, budgeting hours and material resources and balance with internal control budgets.
- 1 year of managing a project schedule
- Active Secret Clearance
- 3-5 years of project or program management or cost account management experience
- 1 or more years working with Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules
- PMP, CSM, Lean6Sigma, CM, PMI-SP, PSP or other related professional certification
<10% travel
