Description
Job Purpose: Under direct supervision of a physician, a medical radiology technologist performs radiology procedures in a timely and accurate manner according to established departmental policies and procedures.
** There will be a local travel with this position. You will be traveling to various Georgia Urology Ambulatory Surgery Centers and to a few of our hospital partner locations. You will be reimbursed for your travel. **
Job Factors:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to lift, push and pull heavy equipment in order to transport both indoors and outdoors.
- Will be required to work under Physicians supervision and direction in the Operating Room.
- Must demonstrate effective communications skills and be able to interact well with all levels of employees.
- This job will require on-the-job training with EWSL and other urological procedures.
- Must maintain the confidentiality of both patient and hospital information.
- Will be required to adjust to a case dependent workload on daily basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Knowledge/Education/Training
- Minimum Education: Two (2) years of college in a related field.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
- Must have ARRT Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.
Driving Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a clean and valid State of GA Driver's License.
All candidates will be required to have and pass a thorough background check, as well as a DOT physical and drug screen.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Demands: Ability to operate and lift extremely heavy equipment on a regular basis.
Work Environment: Must be flexible and available to work at different locations throughout Georgia Urology. Mostly outdoors, in inclement weather and adverse traffic conditions.
