Darkroom Photography Instructor – Summer Camp Counselor

Are you passionate about film photography and the magic of the darkroom? Join Camp Winnebago as our Darkroom Photography Instructor , where you’ll teach campers the art of shooting, developing, and printing their own photos in an intimate, hands-on setting (2-4 students per class).
What You’ll Do :
Teach the Fundamentals of Film Photography – Guide campers through camera techniques, composition, and shooting on film , capturing the world through their own creative lens.
Lead Hands-On Darkroom Sessions – Teach the developing, printing, and enlarging process , helping campers watch their images come to life under the glow of a safelight.
Make Photography Fun & Engaging – Use creative challenges, photo walks, and experimental techniques to inspire confidence and artistic exploration.
Create Lasting Memories – Help campers build skills, express themselves, and develop a deep appreciation for traditional photography .
Experience the Magic of Camp – Beyond the darkroom, immerse yourself in a fun, outdoor, and community-driven summer , filled with camp traditions and adventure.
What We’re Looking For :
Experience with film photography and darkroom techniques (shooting, developing, printing)
Passion for teaching and mentoring young artists
Knowledge of camera mechanics and exposure settings
Creative, patient, and adaptable personality
Previous teaching, camp, or leadership experience is a plus!
This is a paid summer position with housing and meals provided.
