Solution Architect
Location_ Columbus, OH
Duration _ Fulltime or Contract
The role requires a seasoned solution architect with expertise in building data warehouses and data lakes using modern data engineering techniques and architecture. This person is expected to be available full-time for this project with the following skills and responsibilities:
* Expert in building data warehouses and analytics solutions using Snowflake.
* Mastery in building Azure cloud solutions, especially using ADF.
* Expert in GIT and branching strategies for Azure ADF.
* Expert in administering Azure DevOps, including release management.
* Knowledgeable in optimizing cloud operational costs.
* Expert in Snowflake platform.
* Expert in modern data warehousing and data lake concepts.
* Expert in data protection, privacy, access control, and masking.
* Embrace infrastructure-as-code and make sure all deployment and release activities are automated.
* Accountable for the solution's architecture, design, non-functional, and quality requirements.
* Expert data modeler responsible for conceptual, logical models that meet business needs today and can withstand the test of time.
* Design a data platform to enable citizen analysts to perform self-service analytics.
* Ensure metadata like data catalog, data lineage, and labels are captured.
* Review and approve work in Snowflake and data lakes like DDL, metadata, and other scripts
* Review and approve pull requests for all the development activities.
* Assist with troubleshooting end-to-end solutions and help developers and testers.
* Should be able and willing to participate in development activities throughout the solution's technology stack.
