Compensation: $65,000 to $110,000 based on experience

Syracuse GMC is a leader in automotive repair, committed to quality, customer service, and innovation. We’re looking for a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Perform body repairs including frame, dent removal, panel replacement, and refinishing

Inspect and assess vehicle damage, determine repair procedures

Use welding, cutting, and grinding techniques

Prep vehicles for paint and apply finish to match original color

Maintain detailed repair records and follow safety protocols

Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Body Shop Technician

Knowledge of body repair techniques and tools

Familiarity with auto body equipment (welders, sanders, paint sprayers)

Ability to read repair manuals and blueprints

Valid driver’s license with a clean 3 year driving record

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

High school diploma (certifications preferred)

Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification from an accredited repair program

I CAR certification or similar credentials

Experience with modern vehicle technologies
