Key Responsibilities:
Perform repairs and restoration of vehicle bodies, including frame and structural repairs, dent removal, panel replacement, and refinishing.
Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine necessary repair procedures.
Utilize welding, cutting, and grinding techniques to repair and restore vehicle structures.
Remove and replace damaged parts such as fenders, doors, and bumpers.
Prep vehicles for paint, including sanding, priming, and masking.
Apply paint and finish to match the original vehicle color.
Keep detailed records of repairs and parts used.
Collaborate with team members to meet repair deadlines and maintain shop efficiency.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Body Shop Technician or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and tools.
Familiarity with auto body equipment, including welders, sanders, and paint sprayers.
Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from an accredited body repair program.
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification or similar industry credentials.
Experience with modern vehicle technology and repair systems.
