Job Description
Georgica Property Management is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to service our affordable housing apartment communities, located in Riverhead. The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible, under the direction of the Property Manager, for assisting with the overall management of the operation. Above all else, the spirit of teamwork and cooperation with other team members.
Qualifications/Skills for this position:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Affordable Housing LIHTC experience required
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Proficient use of computers, computer operating systems, and standard office equipment
- Ability to work well with and troubleshoot resident/client issues
- Capable of performing duties of the Community Manager in their absence
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must be a self starter, willing to work independently, proactive and reliable.
- Maintain a professional image and attitude in keeping the objectives of Management and residents' welfare
- Ability to complete tenant certifications
- Assist in certifying residents' income
- Assist in the collection of rent and preparation of receipts
- Work with the community manager regarding legal proceedings
- Assist in scheduling vacant units for refurbishing and occupancy
- Assist in the maintenance work order system and in following purchase order procedures
- Assist in typing and/or maintaining weekly and monthly reports
- RealPage/OneSite Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi or Property Manager preferred
- Ability to work with a diverse population and work in a multicultural environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
- All admistratives duties as asigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,600.00 - $45,500.00 per year
