Our client is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), licensed in Colorado, with a strong knowledge of the land surveying and engineering industry to join our growing firm. A qualified candidate must be able to work as part of a team, be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our team of professional surveyors, field surveyors and survey technicians in the planning, scheduling, and performance of a variety of survey projects throughout the Midwest and beyond. Candidates should be able to apply sound survey principles in planning, evaluation, and completing survey projects as well as approving field measurements and directing and assisting with the preparation of survey documents. We are seeking an individual who shares our passion for a high-quality work product and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage projects working with clients and survey crews.
- Assist crew members with computations and data collection using field equipment.
- Communicate with on-site supervisors and / or clients.
- Work with land development plans and construction stakeout computations.
- Work with crews to download / upload survey field crew electronic data, notes, photos, etc.
- Perform assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
- Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare studies, reports, presentation materials, design documents and construction documents.
- Prepare grading plans, landscape design and land development site plans and subdivisions.
- Landscape design for buffers, rain gardens, streetscapes, etc.
- Effectively coordinate with internal team and project members as well as external client personnel.
