About the role:
This is an ideal position for a motivated engineer to begin their career working on cutting edge industrial sensor manufacturing. Your primary responsibility will be working with the production team to design, develop, and maintain current and seismic sensor (Geophone) manufacturing equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to design test systems for characterizing seismic sensors
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical-mechanical issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with other engineers and designers to develop quality control and production fixtures
- Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure to root cause non-conformances
- Release parts with BOMs and Routings through our ERP system
- Work with key internal teams depending on need —assembly, facilities, machine maintenance, mold shop, machine shop, software & electrical engineering, documentation, IT, and Health/Safety/Environmental (HSE).
- Run FEA on assemblies in ANSYS
- Conduct testing to document the effects of engineering changes and to root cause issues.

Qualifications
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proficient in development software (e.g. C , Labview, python, etc.)
- Proficient with electrical design and circuitry
- Creative Problem solving – Independently contribute fixes to issues in production.
- Mechanical Aptitude – Develop simple yet robust fixtures
- Self-managed, motivated, and, independent
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work from our Houston facility (no remote)
- Bonus Skills/Experience:
- Solidworks
- FEA (ANSYS)
- Bilingual (or more)
- Passed FE Exam
