Function & Scope
This position maintains the accuracy of the inventory on hand in the warehouse and is authorized to add to stock items from receiving that are properly authorized and to reduce inventory by pulling parts to supply manufacturing work order requests.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Picks/processes work orders for manufacturing departments using a scanner to log pulls (reductions to inventory balances) to a work order. Stocks items sent from receiving using authorized standard practices. Stock parts means "adds to inventory balances". Required to deliver materials "just in time" for manufacturing to work on orders.
Qualifications
Skills/Experience:
6 months experience in an inventory of mechanical and electrical industrial parts (not clothing or food) and industrial equipment and sub-assemblies. Scanner and fork lift experience are needed in this job. Fork Lift certification is strongly desired. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in cooperation and collaboration with the overall inventory efforts. Applicant should be able to perform simple arithmetic for counting activities as needed. Must be able to be on feet most of the day, constantly moving from one bin location to another. Sense of commitment to the task and the company to follow through on accurately pulling items for work orders and getting them to the departments in a timely manner. Strong understanding of computer usage, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
