Position Description
- Provide installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for AV, VTC, and UC systems.
- Support meeting room AV setups, digital signage, and control systems, ensuring seamless operation.
- Perform troubleshooting of video conferencing endpoints, AV hardware/software, VoIP systems, and networking issues related to AV and UC environments.
- Assist users with technical support, training, and issue resolution for conferencing platforms (e.g., Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Poly, Crestron, and Extron).
- Conduct diagnostics and root cause analysis on AV system failures and coordinate with vendors for repairs or replacements as needed.
- Document troubleshooting steps, installation guides, and technical procedures to enhance team knowledge sharing.
- Work with system administrators and developers to ensure AV and UC service requests are resolved in accordance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor and update ticketing systems for AV service requests and incidents.
- Maintain knowledge of DoD cybersecurity and network policies affecting AV and UC implementations.
- Provide outstanding customer service across all organizational levels.
- Associate’s degree in IT, Communications, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience supporting AV, VTC, or Unified Communications systems in an enterprise or government environment.
- Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networking fundamentals, and conferencing technologies.
- Experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX).
- Familiarity with UC platforms such as Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in AV and UC environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to support end-users effectively.
- Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret/SCI adjudication.
- Industry certifications such as:
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
- CTS-I (Installation) or CTS-D (Design)
- Crestron DMC-E or Extron AV Associate certification
- Cisco CCNA Collaboration or VoIP-related certifications
- Experience working on DoD or government contracts with AV/UC systems.
- Familiarity with DISA security policies affecting AV/UC deployments.
