The Digital/Social Media Specialist (Junior) will manage digital and social media platforms to enhance MCICOM's communication efforts. This role focuses on online audience engagement, content development, and digital strategy implementation. The primary location for this position is at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, with the option for a hybrid work schedule available.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement digital communication strategies to reach key audiences.
• Manage MCICOM's social media platforms, ensuring timely and effective messaging.
• Monitor online sentiment and engagement metrics to assess communication effectiveness.
• Research and analyze the digital information environment to inform strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate digital content production, including graphics, videos, and social media posts.
• Identify and counter misinformation and disinformation in the digital space.
• Support crisis communication efforts by ensuring accurate and timely information dissemination.
• Maintain MCICOM's digital communication platforms, including website and social media, in support of the MCICOM COMMSTRAT director.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
• Remain current on emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices.

The following are requirements of the Digital/Social Media Specialist (Junior):
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or up to 3 years of specialized experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience as a Social Media Specialist, Digital Engagement Specialist, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of social media management, analytics, and content strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience producing content for digital platforms.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and relevant social media management tools.
