Geocgi is looking for an onsite GIS Coordinator to support a local client. This is an onsite position with the expectation to be interfacing with the client Monday – Friday at their office in Alexandria, VA. The GIS Coordinator will help to plan, coordinate, and lead GIS projects supporting the enterprise GIS database and various data services. The role requires expertise in spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and maintaining linear data in versioned geo-databases, with proficiency in tools such as Esri Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcPy and the General Transit Feed Toolset (GTFS).
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate and lead GIS projects that support the client’s enterprise GIS database and various data services.
• Ensure timely completion of projects in alignment with organizational goals.
• Prepare analysis reports, professional maps, and cartographic deliverables to communicate key findings and insights to internal stakeholders.
• Produce new and maintain existing applications with Esri’s development tools; Dashboard, Experience Builder, Webmaps, StoryMaps, Survey123.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing GIS expertise and ensuring data and analysis support for operations, planning, and decision-making.
• Conduct complex spatial analyses using ArcGIS Pro, General Transit Feed Toolset (GTFS), Network Analysis, Spatial Analyst, linear reference systems, and other GIS tools to support decision-making processes.
• Maintain and update data within versioned geo-databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data in support of operational needs and long-term planning.

The following are requirements of the GIS Coordinator:
• US Citizen.
• 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree; or 2 years of experience with a PhD.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Spatial Data Extension (SDE Package).
• Proficient in Esri’s application development tools; Dashboard, Experience Builder, Webmaps, StoryMaps, Survey123.
• Proficient in publishing, monitoring and managing services.
• Understanding of Cache Tile generation and management.
• Skilled in managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working both independently and collaboratively, with a passion for location-based problem-solving to support client needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing, and preparing reports and briefs in the English Language.
• Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies across different industries.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with project management tools such a Clarity, Confluence, and Jira.
The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
