The Graphics Designer will develop visual information products to support MCICOM communication strategies. This role involves designing graphics, illustrations, and multimedia materials for public affairs, training, and operational communication efforts. The primary location for this position is at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, with the option for a hybrid work schedule available.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create graphics, infographics, and multimedia products to support communication objectives.
• Develop visual concepts, layouts, and storyboards for various communication materials.
• Produce high-quality digital and print materials, including brochures, posters, and online graphics.
• Ensure all visual products align with branding and communication guidelines.
• Assist in managing digital communication platforms and multimedia content.
• Support photography and video production efforts when required.
• Design and produce illustrative graphics products that effectively communicate complex information.
• Develop conceptual ideas and storyboards for communication products.
• Produce print-ready materials for various communication needs.
• Create multimedia products that integrate multiple design elements.
• Ensure COMMSTRAT products are tailored to specific key audiences and communication objectives.
• Support the life cycle management of imagery and communication products.
• Collaborate with communications team members to align visual elements with messaging strategies.
• Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to maintain high-quality visual products.

The following are requirements of the Graphics Designer (Journeyman):
• Bachelor's Degree with 4 to 10 years of specialized experience or Master's Degree. As a Journeyman level position, this role requires the ability to perform all functional duties independently.
• Active or recent (last two years) U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience in graphic design, digital graphics development, or related fields.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and branding principles.
• Demonstrated ability to create compelling visual products that effectively communicate information.
• Experience designing for both print and digital platforms.
• Knowledge of design standards, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design.
• Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with government or military communication strategies is preferred.
