GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Technologist!
As the QA Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring GTI products meet and exceed high standards of excellence. You will support the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining and improving the companys quality management system and ISO 9001:205 certification. You will teach and practice both proactive quality assurance and reactive quality control in a fast moving and innovative environment. You will have the opportunity to interact with employees across every department to ensure compliance, identify opportunities, influence needs for change and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain all aspects of our ISO 9001 certified quality management system.
- Perform quality assurance inspections on sub-assemblies, products, and systems.
- Attend production troubleshooting sessions to ensure that non-conformances are effectively controlled.
- Support administration and reporting for issue resolution mechanisms (MRB, NCR, ECR, RMA, CAR).
- Monitor overall compliance of calibration and preventative maintenance programs.
- Collect metrics on the health of the quality management system and create summaries for senior management.
- Attend project kick-offs, reviews, and readiness gates to ensure customer requirements are accurately captured and met.
- Support the development, review, and control of quality management system documentation.
- Audit internal procedures and provide feedback to management about risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects as a leader, stakeholder, or mentor.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Participate in organizational occupational health and safety education, prevention, promotion, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent career experience.
- 3 years experience in a quality management engineering/technologist role, or equivalent career experience.
- Proficient computer literacy for quality documentation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, an asset.
- Active listener with professional communication skills.
- Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS certification, an asset
