Position Summary
Geost seeks a highly capable Business Development Manager to lead and manage business development efforts into capture and proposal development, enabling Geost corporate growth. In this role, you be a lead for identifying new business opportunities and accelerating capture for the Geost Growth and Strategy team.
The ideal candidate will possess a sound knowledge of the DoD and Intelligence Community space customers, Federal Contracting Business Development lifecycle, proposal development processes, and schedule management of the Federal Contracting Business Development lifecycle, proposal development processes, and schedule management as well as have the ability to identify new business customers and opportunities for capture to win contracts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage customers and market participants to identify market drivers and trends and develop marketing, branding, and business development strategies.
- Develop and manage relationships with customers, teaming partners, and industry associations to drive partnerships and new business.
- Produce products such as competitive assessments, teaming strategies, and engagement plans to develop business interest and new opportunities consistent with Geost business strategies
- Monitor, research, and analyze competitive landscape to create competitive advantages.
- Organize and lead teams in developing strategies, new business opportunities, and customers.
- Conduct assessments including competition and solution analysis.
- Lead development of proposal win themes, strengths, and discriminators.
- Develop early milestone and Gate Reviews and present them to Sr. leadership for approval to continue capture activities.
- Develop and manage bid and proposal budgets to maximize the efficiency of BD resources.
- Provide guidance and support to capture teams on technical, pricing, and contractual issues.
- Lead writing efforts for various portions of responses to BAAs, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Ensure development and delivery of high-quality bid products and artifacts.
- Support travel to trade shows, conferences and business sites, as needed (estimated at 25%).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience / combined education.
- An active TS/SCI Security Clearance. Current SSBI is required.
- Minimum of nine years of experience with DoD and Intelligence space community.
- Knowledge of federal Request for Proposal (RFP) policies and guidelines.
- Proficiency in MS Word, SharePoint, and other collaborative tools.
- Knowledge of the Shipley proposal management process.
- Experience in capturing classified proposals.
- Experience presenting proposal status to relevant stakeholders.
