What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Support Operator- Filament Winding position at Geotek LLC?
The Filament Winding line support Operator is responsible for all poles and processes associated with Filament Winding, curing, extracting, prepping mandrels, assembly and to include, but not limited to sanding, prepping, and painting. This person will be accountable for the safety, quality, and efficiency of the poles. This position will also help in any other area of the plant as needed.
Shift:
- Monday-Thursday (7:00am-5:30pm)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carriage Cleaning & Prep
- Crane Operations
- Cure Station and Inspection
- Filament Winding & Veil wrapping
- Glass rack stocking & splicing
- Manually coating poles
- Mandrel prepping & storage
- Assembly & Drilling
- Pole Palletizing
- Repair/Repaints
Job Requirements:
- Close attention to detail
- Able to read and write the English language.
- Mechanically inclined and able to read a tape measure.
- Able to work and lead with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Strong emphasis on quality, productivity, and safety
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Work Conditions:
- The position is located on the production floor, standing for up to 10 hours a day.
- Work with or around power tools and chemicals.
- Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
