5 pm - 3:30 am
Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, scheduled preventative maintenance, as well as general facility maintenance. This position also assists, as needed, with machine setup for production runs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair and preform preventative maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, welding and carpentry
- Assist production with setups as needed
- Prepare new equipment for setups to include assembling parts
- Work with machine vendors to assist in repairing machines
- Assist in the installation of equipment as needed
- Complete forms, records and reports manually and online to document the status of maintenance tasks and repairs
Job Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in plant maintenance is required
- HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional technical training preferred.
- Experienced hands-on mechanical skill
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC, pneumatics and electrical are required
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify problems and develop solutions is required
- Welding schooling experience is preferred
- Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems is preferred
- Experience working in a production environment is preferred
- General working knowledge of PLCs is a plus
- Experience interacting with HMIs is a plus
- Experience reading diagrams, schematics, drawings or blueprints (electrical/technical) is a plus
- Experience using a variety of tools and materials for machine and building maintenance
- Strong organizational and time management skills is required
- Proficient with computers and online-based programs
Physical Work Conditions
- The position is located in the maintenance shop, standing for up to 8-12 hours a day
- Work with or around power tools, loud equipment, and chemicals
- Lift up to 50 pounds regularly
