What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Quality Technician I (2nd Shift) position at Geotek LLC?
The Process Quality Technician will be responsible for helping drive and sustain a quality culture on the shop floor through daily audits and assessments. The Process Quality Technician will report to the Quality Supervisor but will collaborate with other employees within the organization.
**2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 3:00PM-11:30 PM**
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS QUALITY TECH LEVEL I
- Ensure that GEOTEK’s process documentation is followed.
- Ensure all defined process and product checks are performed correctly by production associates.
- Ensure GEOTEK’s products conform to customer requirements through daily process audits.
- Communicate and escalate any non-conformance in a well-organized and efficient manner.
- Participate and deliver quality-related training.
- Management of non-conforming material processes including effective containment and disposition
- Support QMS activities as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- 1-2 years of production/manufacturing and quality experience or a minimum of 2-year degree
- Basic knowledge of computers and online-based programs
- Proven problem-solving skills; able to identify problems and implement corrective actions.
- Self-starter with a results-driven mentality.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to establish trust and credibility at all levels, inside and outside the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR QUALITY TECH II
- Ensure that GEOTEK’s process documentation is followed.
- Ensure all defined process and product checks are performed correctly by production associates.
- Ensure GEOTEK’s products conform to customer requirements through product/process audits.
- Management of non-conforming material processes including effective containment and disposition
- Support QMS activities as needed.
- Support production training for quality standards and requirements.
- Help develop and maintain training content for accuracy.
- Lead or support quality improvement and/or scrap reduction projects.
- Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR QUALITY TECH II
- Have mastered all level 1 requirements and or 2 years of quality experience.
- HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional technical training is a plus.
- Intermediate knowledge of computers and online-based programs including charting data, and identifying trends.
- Internal auditing certification a plus or post-secondary quality training equivalent.
- Must be self-driven to complete tasks on schedule with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR QUALITY TECH III
- Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment.
- Ensure GEOTEK’s products conform to customer requirements through product/process audits.
- Execution of 1st Article Inspection Process on incoming material.
- Responsible for managing the quality test beam program.
- Conduct receiving inspection on purchased products.
- Support production training for quality standards and requirements.
- Provide quality training for new quality department personnel.
- Lead or support quality improvement and/or scrap reduction projects.
- Ability to understand and execute ISO 9001:2015 audit requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES FOR QUALITY TECH III
- Have mastered all level 2 requirements and or 4 years of quality experience
- 6 years’ experience in plant maintenance required.
- HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional technical training is a plus.
- Internal Auditing Certified or have some level of quality training through a certifying body.
- Advanced knowledge of computers and online-based programs analyzing information and presenting data
- Must be self-driven to complete tasks on schedule with minimal supervision.
