GeoTek is looking for an NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) UT (Ultrasonic Testing) Technician to join our Meridian office. If you currently have your ASNT for UT inspections, we would like to speak with you. Must be willing to work outside performing field testing in the construction industry, must have a truck, van, suv or similar type vehicle you are able to carry around equipment used for taking field samples (we pay you for the use of your own vehicle). Pay depends on the certificates you have and your level of experience. You will also receive vehicle and gas reimbursements. If interested, please apply with a copy of your current resume.
SUMMARY :
Performs a variety of testing, project specific observations, and site assessment duties. Operates equipment, conducts tests / assessments and reports data. Works from drawings, specifications, diagrams, schematics and specific verbal and written instructions. Uses specific methods to observe site activities and take samples and perform tests. Makes minor adjustments and modifications as needed.
Responsibilities
Set up and calibrate ultrasonic testing equipment.
Conduct ultrasonic tests to detect discontinuities (defects) in materials.
Interpret and evaluate test results according to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Document and report findings in detailed inspection reports.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Maintain and troubleshoot testing equipment.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians.
Requirements / Qualifications
Certification in NDT Level II or higher, with specialization in Ultrasonic Testing.
Experience in performing ultrasonic inspections in various industries.
Strong analytical skills to interpret test results accurately.
Attention to detail and ability to follow strict safety guidelines.
Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
Physical fitness to handle equipment and perform inspections in various environments.

Pay Range
35—$45 USD
