Geotemps is looking for a hardworking, experienced professional to serve as a Purchasing Clerk in support of our Accounting Department providing services to multiple facilities. This position is temporary Monday to Friday 7 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm. (potential overtime for evenings or weekends, as needed).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Process and maintain purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Submit purchase orders to approved vendors, project managers, and project planners
- Perform vendor maintenance duties to ensure up-to-date and accurate records
- Track the status of purchase orders, sub-contracts, and contracts to ensure timely delivery
- Reconcile purchase order discrepancies and resolve related issues
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, freight companies, internal departments, and management
- Maintain current knowledge of new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, and laws
